Verified stayWe stayed for just a long weekend (F-M), and were so pleased with all the nice details that were taken care of in advance. Everything was comfortable and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and the grill on the porch was another great option we took advantage of. It was a cool weekend, so we lit a fire in the fireplace and relaxed each night. We like to hike and the location is about halfway between Black Rock Mountain and Tallulah Gorge which made it easy to visit both. Looking forward to staying again in t he future! -

Also since we were traveling with a 2 year old, the downstairs playroom area was so great. Our son loved playing the couch that turns into a fort and loved playing with all the toys. Such an added bonus for families. And to make it even better there were pre installed baby gates to block the steps for us. Our son also loved the record player every morning for breakfast time. Obviously we had a great time and will be back again. -

We brought a puzzle and games, but quickly realized we didn’t need to because the house was stocked. It was also great to have coffee and plenty of cookware to make our own meals. We hiked in nearby Black Rock Mountain park and grabbed lunch in Clayton, which had a great downtown area. Thanks for the beautiful and relaxing stay! -

There had been a leak and all water was shut off until further notice. We were literally in the car, more than half way there searching for another place and were lucky enough to find Clyde's Cabin. It was in a beautiful location and just perfect for three friends to have a great few days to rest, relax and shop!! We had an issue with the coffee maker and Lauren had a new one delivered to our door step the very next day. Crisis averted!! Lauren was extremely responsive to any questions and issues. I would highly recommend Clyde's Cabin to anyone. Everything you could possibly need is provided at the cabin. It is spotlessly clean and the beds are very comfortable. We will definitely be returning soon!! -

Nestled in the woods with a fire pit conversation spot out front, the cabin is spacious, clean, and attractively decorated. It easily accommodated our group of 6 adults and 2 dogs. Inactive elderly guests might find walking up the front steps a bit challenging, but the 80-year-old in our group was fine. Check-in was easy, the smart lock entry was convenient, and Lauren communicated fully and frequently. I would highly recommend Clyde’s Cabin! -

The location is great for multiple <25 min trips to hikes and waterfalls and a short distance to downtown Clayton, which is very charming. The house was one of the cleanest we have been to, including the porches, which is saying something for a mountain home (not an insect or spider web to be found!). From us to our dog to our three children everyone had something they enjoyed and loved about the house and we had a wonderful short vacation! For normally NC mountain lovers we were impressed with the area and surprised by the beauty in north Georgia! -

It’s so peaceful and beautiful, and there’s lots of space inside for 8-10 people. Lauren is an amazing host and is very kind and responsive. The place sits in a quiet area and sometimes you can even see wildlife here. It’s a good place to stay if you’re visiting Helen, Tallulah Falls, Clayton etc. The layout and attention to detail in how the cabin was designed is impressive and it’s honestly just worth making the trip to stay in at any time of the year. I’m already thinking of when I’m going to come back here! -

Everything was laid out up-front in the check-in contract, so no surprises at checkout! The property was absolutely beautiful, and there was more than enough room for me and my 7 friends/family members while we were there. The cabin (and it's a REAL cabin) was in great shape - clean, well-maintained, and with everything you might need down to dryer sheets. All beds were clean and comfortable, and every device we used there worked very well. The fire pit in the front yard got some good use, and organizing for checkout was simple, quick, and easy. We can't wait to come back to Clyde's Cabin next year, for a beautiful, fun, and restful stay! -

We were traveling with young toddlers so we really appreciated the books, toys for kids and the baby gate for the stairs! The beds and pillows were comfy and that’s always appreciated! The kitchen was well stocked with your basics and the knives were actually sharp. I loved the porches and the fire pit area! The cabin felt secluded but also really close to town and the gorge! I would love to come back in the fall for all the colors! Can’t say enough good things about Lauren, she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Even when the WiFi went out (come to find out it was due to me accidentally unplugging the router🙊) she updated me that she was working on getting it fixed. 12/10 -

Lauren was extremely flexible and even moved things around so we could extend our stay. The cabin is pet friendly so we were able to bring our two French bulldogs (we loved all the Frenchie decor!). Lauren was extremely responsive and always answers questions or handled issues immediately. Proximity to Town and Lake Burton was also a plus. Having trash pick up for our month stay was another huge perk. -

We had afternoon storms where we played games and put puzzles together. We were able to completely unplug from the world. You feel like you are so far away from other people, but the town is a short drive with restaurants and stores. I would recommend this little slice of Heaven to anyone looking to stay in the north GA mountains. The cabin was also equipped with whatever you need to feel at home and very clean and tidy. The host was quick to answer any questions I had and was extremely attentive to any of our needs. I had my whole family there with me (both kiddos and their spouses, and my mom and dad, and the hubby) and they kept saying over and over how wonderful the cabin was. Thank you!! -

It’s close to Falls which is a nice place to hike! It’s close to lots of shops and restaurants.
Something to remember though is that you’ll have to clean out the fireplace if you use it. Just didn’t realize that, and I thought that should be included in the cleaning fee, but that’s ok. Overall we loved it and would definitely recommend it! -

Dawn B.1/9/25 Verified stayClyde's Cabin is a great place. It sits in a small development on top of a ridge in Tiger, GA. It's far enough from its neighbors to be private but close enough to visit local attractions. Tiger is a four-way stop about 7 to 10 minutes from Clayton, GA. Clayton has gone the way of many small towns from which industry has moved away: they derive almost all of their income from tourism. That's a good thing if you are on vacation. You can get good food (Clayton Cafe and Rusty Bike) and shop, and it's centrally located to access state and national parks in GA, NC, and SC.
The cabin is well-appointed, with many comfortable places to sit inside and out. The outdoor firepit is really great. The kitchen is well equipped (for an Air B&B) with what you would expect, and there are a few extras I was not expecting, like a stick blender and actual sharp knives. The best thing is super comfortable beds. Lauren was a fantastic and very responsive host.

We were close enough to Helen Georgia for a day trip, we were able to get a couple of hikes in, and we made a few delicious meals at the house! We stayed downstairs and I was happy to find a space heater for the room. Upstairs stayed nice and warm. My son shed some tears when it was time for us to go lol! Definitely would come back. -

We were looking for a small getaway for a few days and once we saw the photos online we decided to go for it. We didn’t know what to expect going in but we were positively impressed. Lauren did specify what the cabin offered but we still packed some necessities just in case but it was not really needed as they had all the basics necessities.
The cabin was more beautiful in person and so spacious. Everyone had their personal space and we were never bored. They had games and puzzles for the kids. And a fireplace with an incredible view. We made s’mores in the evening and I’m happy to say that we enjoyed our stay. -

The cabin was squeaky clean upon arrival, which was a big sigh of relief! Our girls trip couldn’t have been more perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch while listening to the rain fall on the tin roof with a gorgeous mountain view. There were lots of games, puzzles and activities to keep us entertained. We had a great laugh playing the “Farting Frenchies” game as well as going back to our childhood and playing Mouse Trap. The cabin is very close to Tallulah Falls and Black Rock Mountain, so we were able to get some hiking in as well. Beautiful cabin, beautiful decor, and we will be back. Thank you so much, Lauren! -

Located a couple miles from downtown and the supermarket. This cabin is great for large families with all the bedding and large living room. Lauren was attentive and left the lights on for us since we were running extremely late because of Florida traffic. We will definitely stay here again! -

Clyde's Cabin is good year-round, but the North Georgia mountains have a rhythm worth knowing.
- October–early November — peak. Leaf season in the Blue Ridge, and the busiest weeks of the year. Book far ahead.
- June–August — summer. Waterfalls, lake days, and hiking, with cooler mountain evenings than most of the Southeast.
- April–May — spring. Waterfalls running full, wildflowers, and quieter trails.
- December–March — quietest and coziest. Wood-burning fireplace, bare-tree mountain views, lowest rates.
Good to Know
- Secluded, not remote — the cabin sits on wooded acreage, with downtown Clayton about 10 minutes away for groceries, dining, and pharmacy.
- Exterior cameras — three, covering the front door, the downstairs back door, and the upper deck. None inside.
- Backyard is not fully fenced — worth knowing if you're bringing dogs.
- Longer stays welcome — bookings of 28 nights or more are allowed.
