Guests regularly compliment us on how well-stocked we keep our kitchen — we love to cook, so we outfitted it like home! You’ll find all that you need, from appliances and gadgets to cookware and serving dishes to feed your whole crew!

  • The kitchen opens onto the dining room which easily seats 8 with an additional 2 counter-height bar stools for group seating.
  • We also provide a coffee bar and coffee machine that makes full pots from grounds or single cups from pods. You’ll find enough coffee fixings to get your stay started — probably even enough for your whole visit.

Outdoor Spaces

  • Our front porch opens onto our front yard and fire pit, and features amazing views of Tiger Mountain. Relax on our porch swing or rocking chairs and take in the views! Our front lawn is flat and provides a great play space for kids and dogs.
  • From our main floor, you can walk out onto our upper-level deck with views of woods and valley beyond. There you’ll also find our gas grill and a picnic table so you can dine al-fresco among the trees.
  • From our downstairs, you can walk out onto our lower deck and terraced backyard with horseshoe pit.

Bathrooms: Clyde’s Cabin has 2 full and one half bath. Upstairs you’ll find a full en-suite bathroom attached to the owner’s suite with shower and walk in closet, as well as a half bathroom located off the laundry room. The downstairs full bathroom features a tub and shower.

Laundry: Standard washer and dryer; we provide laundry soap, dryer sheets, bleach and spot remover.

When to Book

Clyde's Cabin is good year-round, but the North Georgia mountains have a rhythm worth knowing.

  • October–early November — peak. Leaf season in the Blue Ridge, and the busiest weeks of the year. Book far ahead.
  • June–August — summer. Waterfalls, lake days, and hiking, with cooler mountain evenings than most of the Southeast.
  • April–May — spring. Waterfalls running full, wildflowers, and quieter trails.
  • December–March — quietest and coziest. Wood-burning fireplace, bare-tree mountain views, lowest rates.

Good to Know

  • Secluded, not remote — the cabin sits on wooded acreage, with downtown Clayton about 10 minutes away for groceries, dining, and pharmacy.
  • Exterior cameras — three, covering the front door, the downstairs back door, and the upper deck. None inside.
  • Backyard is not fully fenced — worth knowing if you're bringing dogs.
  • Longer stays welcome — bookings of 28 nights or more are allowed.
